The boys basketball team had a tough season, finishing with a 5-4 record in the regular season and clinching the 5th playoff seed. They faced Yeshiva in an away game on February 26.
During the regular season, they lost to Yeshiva by seven points. However, Coach B and the team remained confident heading into the playoff matchup. Believing they only missed easy scoring opportunities in their previous encounter, such as easy layups, turnovers, and free throws. With this in mind, the team felt prepared and optimistic about securing a win.
Unfortunately, things did not go as anticipated. Our team suffered a crushing loss (35-70), leaving both Coach B and the players stunned by the drastic outcome. This marked the first time in three years that they were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.
Despite the disappointing loss, the team remains optimistic about the future. They are determined to learn from this season, improve their performance, and come back stronger next year.
